Adam Palmano is owner of AP Landscapes in Sydney. Adam works personally on all the jobs for AP Landscapes ensuring a high quality result. Adam specializes in stone cladding which takes up most of his time these days, but has experience across all types of landscaping projects. We spoke to Adam and asked him a little about his stone work.
Adam, you are located in the Sutherland Shire, is this where most of your work comes from?
My work mostly comes from word of mouth. The recommendations I get are from all over Sydney so while it would be convenient to stay in the Shire my work takes me to all areas in Sydney.
Stone wall cladding has been popular in commercial projects but do you think stone wall cladding is growing in popularity in residential projects too?
Yes definitely. I have done many large scale commercial job over the years, however, with all the new housing estates going up throughout Sydney, stone work seems to be the trend right now. So, these days I’d say more than half of my work is on residential projects.
You’ve been installing Sareen Stone’s Cotswold and Aspen Grey stone cladding recently – what is it about this product that is so appealing?
The Cotswold and Aspen Grey definitely have the wow factor that everyone is after. When these products are laid well the look and effect is pretty hard to beat.
What is the most important process to get right when installing stone wall cladding?
All different types of stone have different ways to lay them. You just need to take your time, have pride in your work and make your work neat and tidy. The more you lay the better you get at installing any product – experience counts.
What will the remainder of 2017 bring for AP Landscapes?
I have a couple of good size stone projects coming up, and working with Sareen Stone and my repeat builders I can see myself laying a lot more stone this year.
